You're no chicken. You're wise. Even though the coupes handle crosswinds better than other small type A/C, I still ask the tower for the runway closest to the wind regardless of which runway they're using for traffic at the time, if the wind really favors another runway. Usually they will give you the runway closest to the wind at your request usless it just doesn't fit into their mix. This makes for much more pleasant landings, to say the least, rather than challenging landings that you probably will have no problem with but your passengers will think "this guy can't fly this thing too good," not realizing that you just made the best landing of your life because of the conditions; due to all the crabbing, planting it nose left or right, turning to straight after landing, and all of the above. Many airports have crossing runways and you have 4 directions in which to land, given the choice. On a one runway airport, of course, you may have no choice but to land in crosswinds and here it is nice that the coupe can handle it.
