Ah, my dear friend:

You preach to the choir in my case.
"Been there and done that" too as the saying goes.

Lost my license in a near miss many, many moons ago.
Almost lost my life as well as my license for 90 days.
Why?
It had nothing to do with fault, which I claimed wasn't mine.
It was a "me versus them" kinda thing.
I was told if I didn't possess a Commercial ticket, 
i.e., "you shoulda known better",
I would have received only a written reprimand at worst.
