The safest thing I can think of in a 415D (but probably not certified for
the M10) is the Skyport 30 gal tank mod.  It replaces the two wing tanks
with two 15 gallon tanks and removes the header tank.  

I have copies of 337 from Norvel Dasher (415E) and LaRoy Wright (Alon A2)
for removing the header tank and adding an electric fuel pump.  I got both
these 337 from the Club (Skip Carden) several years ago.

The down side is you have to put in an electric fuel pump and if you just
remove the header tank (w/o the skyport wing tank replacements) you better
be careful about running the wing tanks dry since you only have 18 gal
fuel.

Clearly removing the header tank makes the 'Coupe a who lot safer in a
crash
and if a fuel leak develops.
