Hi Jim, I just recently did the conversion on my coupe SN 1180. When I ordered the kit I was expecting to receive a skin that covered the entire piece that was removed. Not so. The stainless covered only between the firewall and the first bulkhead. I fabricated the balance out of .025" (the original is .020") and my AME and I installed it. I did however find upon removing the skin that both of the reinforcing brackets that hold the rear of the fuselage tank in place were broken.
