Drew,

My thoughts were along the lines of two options:

1) Investing in the equipment and renting it out on a basis comparable
to other independent post production rigs.

2) Encouraging a potential member with the equipment to rent out
unused time to get some return on their investment. This falls under a
broader thought I had which is a way to have members rent/barter their
equipment to each other to make the most out of it through
cooperation. I know for myself, I have 2 large format printers that
could be used by others. I think the trick there is to develop a
system that isn't too cumbersome.

I wouldn't advise creating a membership category for it, just an
additional pay to play service.

Generally, I think it would be a great ingredient to add to the
community, attracting other like minds and related businesses.
