Yep, CTRL+O for opening files would be great.

BTW (and this is really minor): editor does not close the last file
opened (off course, it has to have something opened to stay up).
Wouldn't be better to close last file by opening a new empty buffer?
Sometimes you just want to close everything without existing the
editor.
