This is correct if you have previously toggled. To show the IE 7 version vector do the following. 1. Select the [7] Toggle IE7 Emulation Mode button (the button will now have a white background). 2. Close IE8. 3. Open IE8 and load this page. <http://www.satzansatz.de/ie8/xua7.html> You will only see. "IE 7 version vector" Toggling into IE8 standard mode you will see. "IE 8 rendering and IE 7 version vector" To show the IE 8 version vector do the following. 1. Select the [7] Toggle IE7 Emulation Mode button (the button will have no white background). 2. Close IE8. 3. Open IE8 and load this page. <http://www.satzansatz.de/ie8/xua7.html> You will only see. "IE 8 version vector" Toggling into IE8 standard mode you will see. "IE 8 rendering and IE 8 version vector" So it critical in how you toggle between modes, either by the [7] button or using the developers tools to switch modes. The former seems the best approach. I didn't see this on the IE blog. :-) Alan http://css-class.com/ ______________________________________________________________________ css-discuss [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.css-discuss.org/mailman/listinfo/css-d List wiki/FAQ -- http://css-discuss.incutio.com/ List policies -- http://css-discuss.org/policies.html Supported by evolt.org -- http://www.evolt.org/help_support_evolt/
