Thanks, Alan. Your solution definitely worked for IE8, but doesn't seem to work for IE7.

IE5~IE7 positions the absolutely positioned element by the value of margin-left of the following element. To fix the bug, the left offset for the ap. element must be given a value other than auto. left: 0 would fix this bug. IE7- does have troubles with left: auto [1] but this is a strange case. 1. <http://css-class.com/test/bugs/ie/calculated-offset-bug1.htm> -- Alan http://css-class.com/ Armies Cannot Stop An Idea Whose Time Has Come. - Victor Hugo ______________________________________________________________________ css-discuss [cs...@lists.css-discuss.org] http://www.css-discuss.org/mailman/listinfo/css-d List wiki/FAQ -- http://css-discuss.incutio.com/ List policies -- http://css-discuss.org/policies.html Supported by evolt.org -- http://www.evolt.org/help_support_evolt/ ______________________________________________________________________ css-discuss [cs...@lists.css-discuss.org] http://www.css-discuss.org/mailman/listinfo/css-d List wiki/FAQ -- http://css-discuss.incutio.com/ List policies -- http://css-discuss.org/policies.html Supported by evolt.org -- http://www.evolt.org/help_support_evolt/
