Market share? Only certain David and his employer with 1600 staff
 members are currently using it. Apparently they don't have an upgrade
 option! Rest of the global population have moved on to bigger and
 better things in life. Or gone to use FF3.6.x and FF4 RC.

That there is only so much one can do for/in old browsers, is a more important point here. IE7 and older fail on '@import media', so if one uses such rules to import stylesheets one can choose what styles those older browsers shall get access to or not - something I make heavy use of since I don't regard IE7 to be much better than IE6.
