I also use online resources most of the time. But if I need a quick syntax
and/or usage reference I always reach for these two:

CSS Pocket Reference 4th Edition
<http://www.amazon.com/CSS-Pocket-Reference-ebook/dp/B005EI866S/ref=la_B001H9RS4E_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1382989122&sr=1-1>

The HTML Pocket Guide
<http://www.amazon.com/The-HTML-Pocket-Guide-Peachpit/dp/0321699742>

Around the first of they year Eric Meyer's publisher was offering three huge
chapters from his upcoming edition of CSS: The Definitive Guide for free.
They're offering them for a couple of US$ each HERE
<http://search.oreilly.com/?i=1;q=meyer;q1=Books;x=0;x1=t1;y=0&act=fc_contenttype_Books>
. I use the PDF's for searches.

Hey Mr. Meyer....any word on when the full new edition will be available?
