As far as one's desire to consume narcotics, I believe it is that individuals
right to use or not.The fact that one uses narcotics has no bearing on how
others are affected. It's the illegalization of the narcotics that causes the
problems for society; ie: robberies,muggings, any crime committed to gain
enough money to support the addiction. If an addict could walk in off the
street to a facility in order to get his drug, you just would not see the
crime rate involving robberies.
Notice I refer to narcotics, and not crack, cocain, LSD, etc... The reason,is
a person under the influence of a narcotic acts iin a totally different manner
than that of one who is under the influence of any other class of drug.
The bottom line is this. If a person has access to pharmaceutical heroin,and
acts in a responsible manner, such as that of one who consumes alchohol in
regards to operating a motor vehicle, yoou would not have a problem.
