'Mojo' is a relatively modern, and western, term...not sure what YOU mean
by it (indeed, I find trying to understand ANYTHING from you), but I
presume you're referring to the traditional church sign of blessing, where
two fingers are extended...

This is a very old and traditional sign of blessing...

I've neve heard it referred to as such...I HAVE heard of it as warding off
the 'evil eye', and indeed many people of Italian extraction where
necklaces with this sign as a pendant...

It was very common for books to have jeweled covers, prior to the
invention of the printing press, as the creation of a book was such a
labor-intensive project that it made the cost of each book prohibitive,
and in the league with precious gems...
