>What with all the enthusiasm on this list for impeaching Clinton, I'm

>office:

Don't be so eager to infer from my stance on being in favor of Clinton's
impeachment and eventual removal from office that I, for one, am in the
least bit "enthusiastic" about it. The fact that our nation has had to
grapple with this tragedy sickens me. Regardless of who you wish to blame
for this fiasco, it is a clear example of something, but for our arrogance,
NEVER NEEDED TO HAPPEN!

I take somewhat of a metaphysical outlook on the whole business: I see it
as a litmus test, of sorts, designed for us to see just how committed we
are to the preservation of our republic and of the rule of law. The
ethical/moral ramifications aside, this "test" may well prove to be a major
determining factor in the furtherence of our existence as a culture/nation.
That said, I believe we are failing that test across the board.

>Gore?

Gore would be fine were it not for his own legal baggage. Let's face it,
the Republicans will be after him the moment when/if Clinton leaves office.

>Other?

Hillary Clinton has my vote. God knows she deserves it and she is more than
qualified.

>And why do you think your choice would be an improvement? sno0wl

At this point, almost anybody (anybody if you take DeLay and Gingrich out
of the picture) would be better for the nation than Clinton.
