Trying again - We were not comparing EQUITABLE with EQUITY - which are obviously the same. We were comparing Equitable with EQUAL (the related word being equality, not equitability) EQUAL: ADJECTIVE: 1: Having the same quantity, measure, or value as another. 2: MATHEMATICS; Being the same or identical to in value. I repeat EQUAL, i.e.. Same in quantity, is not the same as EQUITABLE, i.e. being just or fair. Hmmm indeed.
