I keep thinking about the guy who called C-SPAN re some matter and in the
course of his call mentioned a friend of his who is a wheel in some
corporation or other. It seems this outfit took all its top folks to Europe
which cost a whole bunch of money (I can't remember the exact sum, but it
sure raised my eyebrows at the time.). Well it was such a big chunk that in
order to keep the bottom line looking good, the company had to lay off 300 of
the rank & file who were actually still needed. I guess the 300 got to bite
the bullet, and no one at the top really gives a darn. Somebody is not
making the proper sacrifices here, and I don't think they ever will. Prudy
