Then stop doing it.
Let's see...I've been on this list for years...you have been on it a few weeks (at
least, under your current
guise)...yet you presume to pontificate about how the list USED TO BE?
> June posts about my
> "hew and cry" when in fact it is probably Aleisha's to whom she is

Two peas in the same pod...or, more acurately, two personalities from the same
psyche...
> Does every poster have to endorse and believe in every posts now?
No, but unless one clearly labels that one does not endorse the sentiments in the
forwarded article, one
should not take high umbrage when readers rightfully take the article as
representitive of the poster's own
personal views. If one is going to be sending articles to the list with which one
does NOT agree, and does
not clearly label the post as "FYI, not necessarily endorsed by sender), then the
poster is just playing mind
games with the list, and would seem to be deliberately conducting a campaign to
disrupt the list.
> If you post something positive about Cuba, will that mean you are a communist?
Of course it doesn't. But it DOES imply the poster agrees with the country on
whatever subject is being
discussed in the article. If the poster does not and does not mention that, then the
poster is deliberately
misleading the list, and should not get upset when readers react as if the poster DOES
endorse the views in
the post.
> But now that I have seen the
> manner in which my attempts to restore some semblance of civility and fair
> play have been met,
HA! More dissembling. You seek to control and censor the list via your Miss Manners
act.
Again I point out that I have been on this list almost since its inception, so YOU are
hardly the one to
pontificate about how things used to be...
> I have nothing further to say to the list as a
> whole on this worn out subject.--unless I am further attacked on list.
Then the rest of us can resign ourselves to seeing more of your long whines, as you
feel that every time
someone points out your many mistakes and hypocricy, that you are being attacked.
And it's interesting that you and your subs feel free to attack ME with aplomb, but
work your collective
selves into a tizzy every time someone disagrees with you, points out your mistakes
and hypocricy, and asks
that you all provide some sort of documentation or evidence for your many
extraordinary claims.
> Just diagram the sentence,
Strange that both you AND 'Aleisha' are such grammarian gurus... ;-)
> Nate, and you will easily see it does NOT say what you claim. Just as I did
> NOT say what June claimed. Did you notice she then tried to start another
> controversy sex education?
What is controversial about sex education? It is only controversial if YOU make it so.
I was just responding to your statement that sex should not be discussed with or
around children. And you
have STILL not answered the question, I see.
> Don't you wonder why she posts so little except to attack
> the posts of others and keep the list in as much of an uproar as she
> possibly can?
If pointing out your mistakes and hypocricy is keeping the list in an uproar, so be
it. But if you are
sincere in your statement regarding civility, then an easy way to achieve it is to
stop posting your
disinformation and posts specifically designed to get the list in an uproar.
As for posting 'so little', I noticed that neither you nor your subs responded to the
articles I sent within
the past week. And I don't see 'Aleisha' sending anything worthwhile to the list.
> So what exactly would you like done to Aleisha, an older woman from the past
> generation, stating her opinion? Silence her?
Lord, yes! Unless 'Aleisha' is prepared to back up her innane rambling rants with
something concrete, her
posts are just a waste of bandwidth, and take up an amount of daily allotted posts
that could be better used
by other list members.
And if you are going to argue that it is perfectly okay for 'Aleisha' to post nothing
but 'her' personal
opinion, then you have no basis to attack me for posting my own personal opinions.
> Amelia <not acting as moderator as we started this exchange before that
> announcement>
I thought it had been announced on this list that you would NOT become a
moderator...has that changed? Please
clarify what your official role, if any, is on this list.
June
