You are correct, hypothyroid generally follows this body type. A person can
be hypothyroid for a period of time before evidencing symptoms that require
medication. The use of blood testing for hypothyroid is fraught with error,
since a normal reading can still be an indicator for medication. In other
words, a person can show normal blood values, but symptoms present that
indicate medication (Synthroid, Armour, etc.) anyway.
