Like his father's "Kinder Gentler Society" with "A million Points of
Light", George II will put more and more people in the streets or in
jail. What Reagon started, with "Trickle Down" economics,
identification of an "Evil Empire" as justification for mega spending on
military 'systems', and "Tough Love" that put the mentally problematic on
the streets and pot smokers in jail, George II will continue with his
"Compassionate Conservatism". George II will certainly "reach across the
aisle" but it will be to smack those who don't sing his praises. We all
know how much the private sector cares about the economic noncombatants
in our society. One thing that is coming is the leading edge of the baby
boomers are now getting old. Many do not have health care or retirement.
The new "street people" will have a very different face. With the kids
gone, retirement lacking, jobs hard to find if you're over 50, no health
care, and little left to lose, what do you think they will do?
