And what is 'Biblically illiterate' by the statement that 'the God of the
Bible...murders babies'?
Seems to me the OT is full of such examples...either Yahweh doing the dirty work
Himself (as in Sodom and
Gomorrah -- where EVERYONE, including children and babies, were killed), or his
'Chosen People' do so via
direct commandment from God (any number of existing communities being slaughtered as
the Hebrews take over
Canaan, etc.)...time and again, the Hebrew army is commanded to kill everyone and
everything, not just their
enemy army...they are commanded to go into the enemy city and kill all the women,
elderly, children, infants,
even all the animals...
Anyone who claims otherwise is the one who is biblically illiterate...
Also, it shows what hypocrites those who oppose abortion on supposed biblical
principles are, since they claim
that abortion is 'killing babies', and yet the OT is full of cases of Yahweh not only
approving of, but
actually demanding, that His 'Chosen People' do just that...
