LOL
my logic is sound as a pound, darling, you can emote all you
like about armed
housebreakers but the fact remains that whether it is the assaulter or the assaulted- the use of guns leads to more deaths than not using guns. like i said- indisputable logic. the cost and availablity of guns in the UK is prohibitive. the scenario you describe does not really happen in the UK because there aren't many guns in circulation. we prefer blades, home made mostly because the damned government infringed our right to bare shivs, butterfly knives, deathstars, etc without good reason. "i am an artist officer- the machete is for sharpening my pencil" that sort of thing, y'know? the amount of armed housebreakers is linked directly to the amount of guns available in the country. here in the UK it is expensive and difficult to buy guns- from UKP200+ for the most basic (illegal that is- there are no legal handguns- except for very few sporting and strictly policed pistols) handgun - petty burglars just do not either have the cash- or ready access to them .
