-Caveat Lector-

Steve,

Your credibility would go up if you would post items from BOTH sides
of the science isle, instead of picking ONLY those that say what
you have been fooled into believing.. There are MANY well respected,
well known scientists that disagree with the global warming propaganda.
But
sheep who believe the pap told by the globalists (who are globalists
for their own gain, not because they 'feel the pain' of the folks
in the poor countries) bow their heads to the floor in support,
not even realizing they are being used by those who will ultimately
throw their supporters on the disposal heap, once they accomplish
their agenda.
No one wants dirty water, dirty air, bare forests, chemically poisoned
streams and food. But at the same time, I will NOT NOT NOT
support )(*&)(*&)* who rob farmers of their fields because of
a frog on the back 10 acres, or to save some fish. If it happened
to you or yours, as it has happened to many, you would think differently.
I will not embrace the new global religion of 'environmentalism' with
its STUPID extreme actions, which are increasing in number.

And I also know that scientific research, like medical research, says
different things as more is learned-even to saying the OPPOSITE
of what was said previously-as has been pointed out on this list with
respect to 5-7 year ago global cooling reports. So no reason to get
excited
about CO2, methane, aircraft emissions, etc etc.. Next year it will be
something
else that is the target-just like the attitude about eggs has changed
from
eggs being poison to eggs being okay (same for butter, same for Canola
oil, same for coffee, same for Vitamin C and Vitamin E, etc). The good
thing about all of this research is that while making mistakes along the
way,
the scientists are constantly learning. It does not matter if you don't
believe me when I tell you that I KNOW many of the scientists. I do.
And THEY DO NOT ALL AGREE, NOR DO THEY FULLY
UNDERSTAND THE DATA ENOUGH TO ABSOLUTELY
MAKE DEFINITIVE STATEMENTS. The strongest statement they
can make is that 'the data appear to be showing such and such'. But
in discussions around the table, THEY ARE NOT REALLY SURE and
there is plenty of uncertainly and hesitation to make absolute claims.
Stupid media people pick up carefully-worded statements and make them
say things that were not intended. Even the words in refereed papers
are careful to stop short of an absolute declaration.

Such a big hullabaloo about ozone. The truth is:
The ozone studies are ONLY 20 years old! Very little was said
about ozone before the 1970s. NO ONE KNOWS whether what
we are seeing with the ozone is a naturally occuring cyclical event.
Last year there was the first report of very low ozone values
(just above 100 Dobson units) in the Northern Hemisphere. What does
it mean???????? No one knows. You can't base scientific statements
on one data point (one data set).

The point is: keep your ears open and keep reading and listening, but
don't get taken in by extreme reports/opinions/skewed data
graphics (easy to do), etc.

This has NOTHING to do with politics. The truth is the truth, whoever
says it. But opportunists are trying to use it to their gain. When I
detect
that, everything else they say is suspect/not to be believed.

DECLARATION & DISCLAIMER
==========
CTRL is a discussion & informational exchange list. Proselytizing propagandic
screeds are unwelcomed. Substance—not soap-boxing—please! These are
sordid matters and 'conspiracy theory'—with its many half-truths, mis-
directions and outright frauds—is used politically by different groups with
major and minor effects spread throughout the spectrum of time and thought.
That being said, CTRLgives no endorsement to the validity of posts, and
always suggests to readers; be wary of what you read. CTRL gives no
credence to Holocaust denial and nazi's need not apply.

Let us please be civil and as always, Caveat Lector.
