I dunno, I could see it going either way as far as those two artists, and can't disparage people for liking one over the other. Fats is 50s do-wop, George is 70s funk. Some like one, some like the other, some like both. Some do-wop music I truly appreciate, but Fats wasn't a crucial artist in that genre, at least for me, anyway. But, yeah, to like an artist for race (or pedigree, as it were), is beyond silly.
