Strongly suggest you look into VASL [ http://www.vasl.org/ ], the VASSAL engine
implementation of ASL. VERY well developed for ASL, with opportunities for live
play only, and a huge community to help out. This is not to detract one bit
from the quality and value of CB -- it's just that for ASL play, VASL
(especially with live chat) is for choice.
Having made that comparison, I'll note about the recent threat about the
relative merits of ACTS and CB play of CDGs, that the key thing ACTS does that
CB cannot really do, is to ensure that there is no cheating, because the ACTS
independently 'holds' and 'deals' the cards. You can do all that just on CB,
but you'd better know for sure that you opponent isn't fiddling with you. For a
lot of GMT's games played on ACTS, folks record simple moves on their OWN CB
copy, just to know where the units reside, and rarely need to exchange the CB
files, just reacting to the play just seen on ACTS by playing another card.
