some Consim threads. Putting the topic there is like bringing the discussion
to Jerry Springer online. I'll put something on my forum this afternoon. If

Well, talk of lawsuits and courts, laws and rulings, theft and fair
use... would seem to indicate this thread has outlived its typical life
cycle.

Before this topic becomes much more heated I'd like to quote to all of you
from our Mailing List FAQ:

"Q: What is considered on-topic and off-topic?
A: This is the premier mailing list that covers the use of Dale Larson's
excellent CyberBoard play-by-eMail (PBEM) gamers' assist software (
http://cyberboard.brainiac.com/index.html). Discussion covers the use of
the software program, tips on creating gamebox and scenario files, and
general playing tips. Any other subject matter should be directed to the
appropriate forum, including specific game in progress status reports. You
might find other CyberBoard-related Yahoo Groups by searching at
http://groups.yahoo.com/search?query=cyberboard
<http://groups.yahoo.com/search?query=cyberboard&submit=Search.>
&submit=Search."

Although it can be argued that "use of the software program" would allow
these recurring copyright "discussions." we typically don't allow them ...
because we end up exactly where you guys are heading with this and it's not
any place worth visiting.

Can we call this one thread dead, please? I'm asking nicely once.

If you care to continue, CSW has a dedicated topic for copyright
discussions:

Thank you,
