The big thing about shoes is to get a real stiff sole, carbon is the best
but is expensive.
I prefer speed play pedal, easy to get in and out, 20 degrees of float,

if you have knee problems or if your knees don't track straight.
Don't skimp on money you get what you pay for.
Pedals on-line no problem, get the best price.
Shoes you would want to try on, I would not buy on-line unless
I had tried on in a store first or was re-ordering shoes.

Hello all,
I'm looking for some advice. I've begun the hunt to leave my cages
behind and finally start riding with the "big boys" and get some
pedals, cleats, shoes, etc. However, there are so many options I'm
lost. I'm not looking for the best, just a good start. I would like
some recommendations and reasons why. Why you would buy what you
already have again or why you wouldn't. In looking online, I'm reading
about float, lateral adjustment, degrees of entry and more. Where can
I get the best price? Would you buy online? Any help you guys could
offer would be much appreciated. I don't know if I'm opening a can of
worms by looking for these opinions so I'm sorry if I am.
