The concentration camps are jails this time, where you are held as a
"material witness". The "trials" will be in a secret court, fed by secret
evidence, where you won't be entitled to a lawyer nor the "right" of facing
your accuser (after all, you are an enemy combatant now...).

I forget where I saw it, but a television show had a "perp" being threatened by the DA that he'd be transported to Gitmo, where U.S. rights no longer apply. Fiction, maybe, but a sure sign of where American ideals have gone.


Fearless Leader whines that the Iraqis are not treating POWs according to the Geneva Convention while a thousand "illegal combatants" captured on the battlefield in Afghanistan are held in cages, transported in metal shipping containers, and tortured.
