Generally speaking, under the new Austrian citizenship law you shouldn’t need a 
lawyer to apply.  The documentation requirements would be on the Austrian 
Embassy in Israel website .  I’m sure they will be cooperative. 
The main issue is how many of these documents you still hold or can get hold 
of, especially the birth certificates going back to the original Austrian 
citizen in the family. 

I was fortunate that my father was always very careful with documentation and 
took a complete set with him when he left Vienna in 1938 for Palestine.
