Hi Audrey,
My grandfather Max Engler was born in 1891 in Unter Stanestie. His parents
were Schama Jakob Engler and Chaya Rifka Engler (born Lecker in Nepolocautz).
My grandmother (Max’s wife) was born Basia Sandler in Sadagora in 1896. Her
parents were Israel “Srul” Sandler & Ester Gittel Sandler (born Klesmer).
Ester Gitel’s parents were Hersch Jankel Klesmer & Miriam Frimet (unsure if
middle name or surname). I’ve seen some records indicating they were from
Czortkow (now Ukraine). If this sounds familiar to anyone, would love to
connect.
