When I add virtual fields (several virtual fields do conversions of the data) 
the flashing returns and is very obvious.  But I would not say 'properties' 
as in
MyProperty = property(_setValue, _getValue) 
because I'm not aware I'm setting any.

The flashing on windows maybe related to the speed of the computer.  Larry's 
computer is slower than mine and he reports it (the flashing) is there all 
the time.
