A Reflection on Today's Scripture:

Time so quickly gets away from us. Where did it go, we ask ourselves.
Here we are almost at the end of the first week of Advent! So many
things to do: shopping, cooking, writing greeting cards, decorating
our homes. Just pondering them, we could let ourselves become
frenzied.

As we approach the end of our Jubilee Year and remember our Lord's
coming to us two thousand years ago, we thank God for this time. He
allows us to prepare for His coming again in a new and magnificent
way. The child Jesus, our rock, who died and rose for us, remains the
same. He waits for the doors of our hearts to open to Him so He can
enter and be with us.

Are we ready to unlatch the door and let in the Prince of Peace? Are
we able to begin each day asking for His help to keep us in that
Peace? We can start our day by offering to our Savior, our body, mind
and spirit, so that He might direct us in the way He would have us
go!

               Good and gracious God,
we are yours first and foremost.
Help us to keep you as our priority.
                    Maranatha!
                    Come Lord Jesus!
