A Reflection on Today's Scripture:

Think of being at a beautiful park with a most beautiful sunset. Or
reflect on a quiet outing on a boat in a lake during a sunny day. Or
picture a snowy mountain against a beautiful blue sky. These and many
other beautiful scenes often fill us with serenity and peaceful calm
because they are so close to God. Likewise, let us think of the
Blessed Mother's soul. Her soul, completely spotless and stainless,
reflects a beauty unmatched even by such scenes described.

Mary, the only child of Joachim and Anne, was the only person ever to
be born without sin. This was because God chose her to become the
mother of Jesus, the Son of God, the promised Word made flesh.
Through her "Fiat", her "Yes", Mary gave the most important birth of
all mankind: the birth of Jesus Christ, our Savior.

A perfect model of humility, grace and obedience, Mary our Spiritual
Mother, endured many hardships and trials in her lifetime, yet she
did not sin. In these days of worldly anxieties and trials, we need
to emulate as best as we can, Mary's behavior and strive to overcome
temptations to sin. May we pray that the Immaculate Heart of Mary, in
union with the Sacred Heart of Jesus, will intercede for us before
our merciful Father in heaven. Let us always thank God for giving us
Mary, the loving Mother of Jesus, our Incarnate God And Savior.

               Blessed Mother,
                    Most pure and undefiled,
                    pray for us all.
                    Amen
