I understand twb was working on a script which could translate most of
MoinMoin markup into Markdown (or was it ReST?). Once that's done presumably
we would then lock the original wiki, grab a fresh tarball, dump all the
spam and auto-generated pages, run twb's tool over every page, and do a
bunch of 'darcs add' on the files.

I think we should organize the files a little. One of the things that make
Gitit better than Moin is that you can organize your content. It'd be a
shame to not use that feature just because Moin doesn't have it.

Can I contribute before the script is done? As I said yesterday, I can't
make any commitment. If I don't do something now and just wait, I probably
won't do anything later.

Btw, I figured out what was wrong with my gitit. I had to specify "Darcs" in
the config file.

Daniel.

I think you could contribute by getting a bare-bones wiki setup; do the editing
of the template.html that you want, etc. You can go through the current wiki
and think what directories would be best and create them now. And so on. As
long as you don't create any files with the same name that wikipages will be
given, I don't see how there could be any conflicts (and thus, wasted work).
