Concretely, the 'commit bit' would be your SSH public key in an
.ssh/authorized_keys file for darcs-unstable.

It might be nice in the future to have a Darcs that can associate
patches with metadata that isn't treated as part of the patch contents
or the patch info.  Then we can log things like who actually is doing
the committing, when a patch was applied (as opposed to made), etc.
