Possible, but the 64bit version was built from source and installed from the 
built package.
The 32bit package - built from the same source - worked out of the box...

For completeness, I will build both versions again from the 1.1.4 source and 
install them on different
machines with clean builds of SalixOS 32 and 64 bit. I would be doing this 
anyway as part of the testing for
the Salix packages.

The actual error is a failure to create a directory, so perhaps it's happening 
before the tex file is built, or as it tries to create the directory initially ?
