Did you tried the Olympus Capture software?

If it works, it means there is some king of communication between the PC
and the camera. I can not test that app as my M10 is not supported.

I tried tethering on Windoze with a app called Smart Shooter didn't
work. There is no reference to tethering in either the manual or in
Darrel Young's book "Mastering the Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II"
Could be that it was not in Olympus's program.
There must be other Darktable users that have one and can shed some
light on this mystery.
