Yeah, I'm familiar with the project, I was just hoping for insights, from the 
perspective of developing RAW development software, about how currently 
relevant it is 20 years later *for simple retrieval of files*. I find very 
little discussion about recent cameras not supporting USB storage, whereas 
exFAT currently *does* present some obstacles. In light of that, it seems 
possible that only using gphoto as a fallback when needed might make sense.
