Are you using openCL?
no, not available on my machine since darktable does not support Intel GPU
and with external GPU opencl always crashes after suspend-to-ram.

In my experience, Intel GPUs + OpenCL + darktable work very well. It's on 
Debian/Ubuntu. All that needs to be installed is 'intel-opencl-icd'. No vendor 
repositories or kernel module compile necessary.
