Disclaimer: I am not a developer, i might tell you wrong things ;) Darktable does not have an input profile. Darktable has the (enhanced) color matrix which tells how the RGB values from the sensor should be mapped into the colorspace and the base curve which takes the sensors brightness response characteristics into account. Theese two components together buld something like a input profile.
