Suppose I have a desired white balance for one image. I see how to copy
the entire history stack of that image and then paste in on another
image, thus copying the white balance setting while I am at it. But
suppose I just want to apply the white balance setting of the first
image to the second and not copy the entire history stack. How do I go
about that?

I should say I am not sure I entirely understand white balance and how
it works in darktable. So if you have anything else to suggest, please
do so.
