If I understand correctly what you are saying

* you are taking images with -1 EV
* you want to dial up +1EV automatically when importing into darktable

I can't help but ask... why did you dial that -1 EV in the first place if
you like the 0 EV look better ? is this to avoid over-exposure ?

I don't think automatically dialing EV up based on exif is a good idea in
the general case. Usually when people dial down the EV when taking a photo
it is because they want a darker mood on their photo. I believe you are the
special case...

It is not currently possible to use lua to do this either because darktable
has no generic way to read exif data that lua could use (it's something
that is highly under consideration but nothing has been done yet...)
