Dear all:

I love using Darktable. It is an excellent software. Please, allow me to
make a few remarks/suggestions regarding presets and styles.

1. I run Darktable on three computers: an ultrabook, a notebook and a
desktop. I have created a number of presets for different Darktable
modules, and I wish there was an easy way to move them from the computer
where they were created to the other computers I use. I know that I can
create styles and copy them to the other computers, but that is not
practical, since for a given module I may have three or four user-defined
presets. I have no ideal whether that is feasible, but ideally all
user-defined presets should be saved in a file that could be copied to
other computers. By copying this file, e.g., from my notebook to my
ultrabook and desktop, I would then have all of the module presets that I
created on all three computers.

2. It would be nice if we could import several styles at one. (Is it
possible?)

3. It would be extremely nice if we could arrange/organize styles in
folders, i.e., in a tree-like structure. We would then group all black and
white styles under the heading B&W, all landscape styles would be grouped
under a separate heading etc. They would then be displayed as a list of
headings with each heading containing the names of the styles in that
group. It would be nice if there was an easy and natural way of doing so
(without having to rename the styles and create empty styles as class
headings).

4. Many photographers I know (myself included) export each photo twice: in
medium resolution (say, 1600 pixels on the longest side) with a watermark
and in full resolution without a watermark. It would be nice if the export
module contained a "disable watermark" option. I know that watermarks can
be added to photos using a style, but it is better, IMHO, to decide where a
watermark will be placed and also its opacity on a photo-by-photo basis in
darkroom. In my opinion, it would be more convenient to have a disable
watermark option in the export module than to use copy and paste or other
strategy.

Best, FC
