As far as I know, you can't have both zoomed in at once. The best you
can do is alternating back and forth between the same section of the
zoomed-in images in the darkroom. To do this, narrow the selection down
to your two images, go into the darkroom on one image, zoom in, and then
switch to the other image. Darktable will show it at the same zoom level
(at least by default) and in the same position in the image.
It would be great if darktable could do better here. I don't know if
there's an enhancement request already for this in the issue tracker,
but I suspect there is.
