Hi,

If all "Questions" to the dbmail mailing list had for

subject "Question" the dbmail archive would be useless....

next time please make your "Question" not "Question"....

Guys Guys,
I'm not making a "war" here,
I just started this question to know if this was the normal behavior or
not, just because i remembered of this when i used qmail+cyrus-imapd.
I also know that the pop3 protocol is not intended for folders usage
unlike imapd/exchange etc etc.
This was just a simple question and i don't intend to make "war" ;)
But ok, i'm clarifyed about this and how dbmail works.
The principal reason about this question was also to know how dbmail
works in this point, nothing special.

Jorge

As Marc said, pop3 only has one folder/mailbox, while that's arguably a
neat feature, and even one to consider implementing, it's not starndard
pop3 behavior.

As for imap, if indeed you have a problem with it not showing new
messages in your other folders, try checking your mail client settings.
I use evolution and there's an option to "Check for new messages in all
folders". You could have a simple difference like client-side sorting
in cyrus but server-side sorting in dbmail, and your mail client not
looking for new messages in the other folders.

Continuing, in fact i remember that when i connect with the qmail
pop3d, all messages where downloaded (maybe i dreamed about this
also it's possible), were they in the imap INBOX folder, or Sent
Items or other, so the same question, should them all be downloaded
with the dbmail-pop3d or not?

This is not normal behaviour. If cyrus has implemented this feature,
it should be something which has to be configured explicitly. Pop3
only know 1 mailbox, the INBOX.
