As I asked before in this thread: help make it reproducible by obtaining
the IMAP-envelope and full headers of the original message, since my
only hypothesis is that the envelope is incorrect.
copy the broken message to a 'test' mailfolder, then:
nc imapserver imapserver
x login username password
x select test
x fetch * envelope
x fetch * rfc822.header
x logout
