INDIA: PREPAK justifies execution Justifying the execution of the parents of four renegade PREPAK men, the Military Affairs Committee of the outfit today said that the action was carried out in accordance with the agreement inked between the cadres and the organisation in June last year at CCpur and at the other unit camps. In a statement, the MAC said that it was agreed that if any cadre defects to the enemy side with arms then stern action will be taken up against their family elders. It was on this line that the parents of A Uttam of Wangjing Lamding Cherapur Makha Leikai, A Jack of Naoremthong Khumanthem Leikai, Th Naoba of Gwaltabi Awang Leikai and Kh Tony of Kakching Khunou were given stern punishment. Uttam ran away with one Lethod and 20 cells, Jack with one AK-47, two magazine along with 150 bullets, Naoba with one AK 56, two magazines and 150 bullets and Tony with one AK 47, three magazines and 200 bullets. The renegades knew the fate that awaited their parents, said PREPAK and added that the family members of earlier renegades too should pay for arms taken away within 2 months time. The outfit also asked its sympathisers not to go against the diktats issued earlier.
