Package: php3-mysql
Version: 1:3.0.5-3

This bug report is related to the previously reported bugs 60546 and 37529.
If you install the package php3-mysql your are not able to use the functions
of this package. You still have to add a line in /etc/php/pache/php3.ini .

This behaviour is not common.

Similar problems will occur with other php-modules and php4.

There are 3 different solutions.
1) If you install such a package, the php3.ini-File will be automatically
configured. This could yield problems if you load these modules from your
php3-File.

2) Ask the user if the php3.ini File should be configured.

3) Don't do anything of this, but write a detailled Readme in the doc-directory,
which describes the problem and the solutuion. The existing readme isn't good
enough.

Dear reporter,

php3 has been removed from Debian unstable/testing, because it's superseded
by php4 and php5. Please see #330656 for more information.

This bug does not apply to php4 or php5, so I'm closing it now.

Thank you for your report,
--Jeroen
