Well, I recall that I (with my Release Team member hat on) looked at keepass2 during the last release cycle because an RC bug (1000338) and at the time I expected keepass2 to not ship with bookworm. Looking back I now see it only was shipped with bookworm because that bug was downgraded by somebody doing QA, not the maintainers.
Personally at that time I switched from keepass2 to keepassxc and as Release Team member I no longer worried about keepass2 being dropped.
