Sorry for the wrong information. The scim-bridge is not related to this issue.

If you just want to setup the scim itself (not scim-anthy),
there might be a workaround to make the scim-setup work
but also keep the scim-anthy installed.

Please install scim-anthy again and just delete this file or move
it to anywhere else:

  /usr/lib/scim-1.0/1.4.0/SetupUI/anthy-imengine-setup.so

Then, scim-setup won't load anthy's setup module and should
work fine. Of course, you cannot setup scim-anthy this way.

It was a long story... Since Wheezy is released, we cannot
add it back to Wheezy easily except backport.
However, you can try the scim and scim-anthy from Jessie.
They should work in Wheezy at this moment.

While I am the developer of scim, I just use scim.
Therefore, I cannot provide any suggestion about that. :-)
