BTW, if you're in touch with Nicolas, could you ask him to send a RFH?
If no one has time to help, I think the best thing to do would be to ask
the FTP team to remove cinnamon from unstable until Nicolas packages
a new version, because #720466 renders cinnamon almost unusable.
