hello ian, thanks for your report. the import framework has been overhauled in the versions after 2011.12, so the issue you've found is fixed in newer versions, but not in a way i can easily isolate and port onto 2011.12-3. let's see if upstream has ideas on what to do apart from just using the latest version; otherwise, i'll tag this bug 'help' (for i don't have the time right now to track down uninitialized memory in openscad), and point to backports (work in progress). best regards chrysn
